About Us
In 1963 with the contribution of devoted persons of surendranagar, who devoted their life for education field and great donor Late. Mr. Meghji Pethraj Shah, the college was established with the name of
Shri M. P. Shah Commerce College, by Surendranagar Education Society. For the study of commerce and law this college became famous in Saurashtra University.
Due to increase in the need for higher education and the students of Surendranagar district do not require to go at Rajkot and Ahmedabad for further study. The P.G. Centre for M. Com. Was established and all other faculties like B. Com. (English Medium), B. B. A., The P.G. Diploma Course of Computer Science, Prof. C. K. Shah Computer Centre, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University Study Centre and C. A. Examination Centre have been started.
Today more than 2000 students are studying in this college that offers them the degrees of B. Com., M. Com., B.B.A and the courses of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University. Other than outshining at the university level in the field of education the students also fare well in co-curricular activities like sports, N.C.C, N.S.S, and youth festival.
In the last four years with the help of U. G. C. grant the amount of Rs. 40 Lacs have been used for increasing the educational facilities and modern technology in the campus.
The college that was established in the year 1963, after competing its 50 successful years is entering into the Golden Jubilee years more than 50 thousands students have completed their higher education study from this college.
